I am also 37 and had my tubes reversed August of last year. I had similar pains a few weeks after my surgery and I knew my body was telling me....too much to soon, so take it easy. Having two children already, I still needed to care for them even though my husband was doing much of the work....I felt I needed to do "my part"....really, I just needed to relax and allow my body to heal.
Please gauge the pain and call the doctor's office if it increases or remain consistant as it could possibly be an infection.
SSBD your way,
E
Of course I'm not a doc...but I bet you might have overdone yourself with the sex and maybe with not just keeping it easy. I really don't think it's anything to do with your tube. Spasm is just when the tube kinks and tightens up a little bit, but then it will relax and be back to normal. Sort of like when you get a charlie horse. And if you did have sex the night before and the pain showed up this morning, it makes me wonder that could possibly be the culprit. No I don't think your tube will close up from you what are describing. If your tube were to close up, it might be years on down the road an I would guess in that case from build up of scar tissue, but I'm just guessing on that.
Just try to take it easy...I'm suprised you even can get around and do "too much" LOL!! It's just been two weeks!! Try not to stress!!
thank you for your response, I am not trying to get pregnant yet we are being very carefull. the pain did not start right after we had sex, it started this morrning when i was getting the other children ready for school. maybe I have been doing too much around the house or something. I hope its nothing with the left tube because its the only one that I have. What is a spasm in my tube? does that mean it can close up again? I think I have too much time on my hands to stress about everything..I need to go back to work!! lol...thank you again...susan
The pain is probably something other than hormones from ovary on the other side. Maybe it's a spasm of the fallopian tube. But it's probably nothing. But I'm sure it's not from hormones and you ovulating. Did the pain happen right after you had the sex.
Also....I think you are suppoe to wait a full cycle before trying anything. I don't know if you doc said that to you. But you are still recouping and a TR is a heavy duty surgery.
If the pain is more like an annoyance like you get when you ovulate than maybe take a couple of tylenols and use a heating pad. I could actually be from your ovary on your other side gettin ready to ovulate and the pain is just radiating to the other side.
I would give it some time and if it becomes too severe or unbearable then call your doctors. I think it's really pain due to you still recouping from the TR.
