Thank you Ecologic! I truly appreciate your response, it makes me feel better, specially now that my period did come for almost 2 months!! and I am soo worried, and sad.
And I am happy for you that you were able to conceive and have children.
I had a failed IVF years ago (HCG started to go up then down and a lot of bleeding), my periods came back quickly after the IVF bleeding.
I recently had a D&C and it took forever for my periods to come back - 6 weeks. And when they came back, I almost missed them because they were so light, just brown blood and not even a pad a day.
Our body react differently after a loss or major hormonal change, try not to be stressed: your body will bounce back!! And an optimistic note: I conceived naturally my baby a few years after this missed IVF.
Thank you Ginger! I went to my DR. and prescribed the medicine I mentioned above, so I am still waiting to finish my second medicine but I started to get worried about something got messed up in my body!! And I don't know how long it takes to get your period after failed IVF??
I was 7 days shy of going a whole extra month without a period
I had a failed fet in feb. got my period on the 19th and finally got one yesterday. I had kept in touch with my doc, went in for labs a couple time and had an ultrasound which showed a cyst. My doctor said the labs came back indicating my period was coming soon it didn't so I was prescribed provera 10 mg for five days and instructed to wait ten days after the last pill for a period. I finally got it last night. I've never had problems like this but was told all the fertility meds mess up your system. Call your doctor and see what they advise for you. I know I stressed a lot about it which didn't make things any better.
Best of luck to you
Ginger
