Period after giving birth

I finally got my period after giving birth. When I use a tampon I noticed that inserting the applicator was fine but when I push the tampon in, the tampon moved to the right instead of going straight up. I've never had this problem prior to giving birth. Is this something I should be concerned about? I do have cramps in between periods.

Thank you so much for your comment.  That really makes me feel better. I actually have a Doctor's appt on the 30th and will ask him also. Congratulations to you!

I'm not a medical professional, but I can share my own experience. With my first child, everything "bounced back" to normal. Nine years later, I had my second child. He was pretty big, and difficult to deliver. I noticed afterward that the shape of my vaginal canal (sorry if TMI) had changed. Same as you, the tampon seemed to go in different. Just inside the canal was a fleshy spot that wasn't there before. With my first, I didn't need an episiotomy...with the "big one" I had to be cut TWICE for him to come out. I can only guess that this changed my anatomy somewhat! I've asked my OB since then during exams...he just said that "things change after you give birth" and didn't seem too concerned about it. He asked if sensation was still the same - which it is. And sex feels the same. He said to just keep up with the Keigel (sp?) exercises...lol. So, I'm guessing you're probably experiencing the same thing. Since you've only recently given birth, things may return more to normal over time. Good luck, and congrats on your new baby!
