Placental Abruption - Possible cause

I recently had a preterm labor due to placental abruption. During pregnancy I wasn't taking prenatal vitamins regularly. Can it be the cause for abruption?

Vitamins provide necessary nutrician for the baby but do not cause placental abruption.  Subchorionic hematoma can cause abruption (e.g. placenta did not attach correctly to the uterus).
Given your case your ob should give you an explanation.
