I'll have to try that , Cate. I've been trying to keep as stretched out as much as possible.

My back was really sore as well in week 5, but I found sitting in a Taylor's position (butterfly pose) and stretching those lower back muscles really helped.

I'm about 5 weeks, just had a positive hpt this past week. My. Back. Is. Killing. Me. Seriously. I've never really had pain before other than due to injury. This is my third pregnancy and I never experienced back pain in either of my previous pregnancies. I was wondering if my pain is a result of being pregnant or is it because I just unknowingly pulled a muscle or something. Earlier today I had to actually sit down for a minute because of sharp shooting pains.

Back pain is common in early pregnancy. It usually gets better once your uterus rises above your pelvic bone.
