Just had OB appt...Would this concern you???

Hi girls,
I just had my 1st OB appointment today at 10w 4 days since being released from the RE.  Heartbeat was great, 174 (which I think was great, the OB said it was).  If you go by my IUI date (4/24/09) then my due date would be 1-14-10.  When he measured the pregnancy, the due date came out at 1-17-10.  So that means I'm measuring 3 days behind now huh?  I don't understand cause 2 weeks ago when I was at the RE I measured 1 day ahead.  Should I be worried that something is wrong if I'm measuring 3 days behind?  I asked the OB and he said he wasn't concerned at all but of course I'm worrying now...

Well ladies if you think about it...Your IUI date isn't actually the day the baby implanted now is it??? I would think that the real growing begins when they are nestled nicely in your womb. I've never had it done but I would think that is why it is only a couple days off. It makes sense to me. I'm sure all is well!!! Best of luck to you and try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy!!!

Don't be worried at all..  The EXACT same thing happed to me... Based on my IUI, my due should be 10/6/09... Based on u/s measurements when I left the RE, my due date was set at 10/9/09.. So three days behind... Well now, based on 10/9, the baby is always measuring about 3 day ahead but they won't change my due date becasue it is only 3 days..

So don't worry at all.. early on the baby is so small that their measurements are not as accurate...

I don't think I even know that you did IUI... Nice to see other IUI happy stories :)

Congrats on 10wks.. you are almost to the second trimester!!!

Don't worry Dana!!  Those measurements are not 100% accurate and depend on where they place the calipers on the computer screen.  Even one mm off would change your due date!!  I wouldn't worry and I would go by your IUI date!  I also remember that the early measurements are more accurate than the later ones!  Great HB too!!  So happy things are going good for you this time!!  Will you find out the sex of your baby??

I don't think it's anything to worry about.  This seems to happen an awful lot, I have heard this so many times and everything was fine.  I think it's more of an issue prior to heartbeat, but once a healthy heartbeat has been found not so much.  How much you want to bet that next ultrasound your ahead again.  These little ones seem to do things at there own speed.  Dana, I am so excited for you...only a few weeks left until you are out of that first trimester!!!
