spotting and nervous

I'm pregnant again after a loss and nervous.  I'm 4 weeks and having light brown spotting over the past 3 days. I've read it can be normal but nervous anyway. Some back pain discomfort but nothing too bad. I'm trying to relax and lay down. Any advice?

Brown blood is old blood.  I hope you get fantastic news on Friday!  Drink lots and lots of water!  80oz a day or more.  It keeps your uterus hydrated.  I bled from week 6 to 16 of my pregnancy.  Red, brown, heavy, light...my twins are now 2 1/2.  Hang in there!!!

thanks so much. I know I'll never get over it either but thanks for the advice. I called my doctor this morning and went to have blood drawn today so they can monitor my hormone levels. I feel good about that and should know more Friday.  I have told myself to live in the moment and enjoy it without worrying too much. I'm happy to hear your success story and feel in my heart it will be ok for me this time.

Hi! I miscarried last year and I don't  think I'll ever really get over it. As a result I'm 30 weeks now but haven't been able to enjoy any of it with worrying about spotting, early cramps, then why can't I feel movement, why aren't my breasts sore any more? Why haven't I got the dark line, etc etc but in all honesty there haven't been any complications and I'm beyond the stage where if she comes now she'll have a fighting chance so all I can say is that you could well be in my position in a few months so my advice is do try to relax and enjoy it like I wish I had! Wishing all the good luck and good health possible to you both!
