Pregnant/symptoms of pregnancy but started to bleed

I had some good symptoms of being pregnant... Then 3 days ago I started to spot.. Thought it was the embryo settling in... Then worked itself onto a FULL bleed... The symptoms are still here but not as strong... No test yet but read there are women who remain pregnant even when they have a period for the first three months... Was reading "What to expect when expecting" and it says that this is very possible...

Anyone know where I can get more info on this??? BTW I have a doctors appointment this Monday... For the issue...

I am sorry you are bleeding full out.  As Rachel said, who needs the confusion and stress.

One of the things that has really stood out for me is your comment about an unsupportive Dr.  While it is important for a Dr. to be realistic with you, it is also important they be supportive and respectful of your decision.  It is not their place to make decisions for you, but to work with you.  I'm sorry you had that experience.

Sorry about your doctor not being understanding! :( If your spotting turned into a full bleed, then it is most likely your cycle. Your body sounds like it is playing a mean trick on you!

Sorry for the unwanted stress!

Thank you ladies ... Went to the doctor but no test... I really didn't like her at all ... She was all judgmental about my age, size and relationship status (as I am single).... Have an appointment for a hormonal evaluate on hhe seventh... They give free tests... And if it comes up positive the appointment becomes my first prenatal....

Some symptoms are still there and some gone...nausia. Etc still here... BTW it started as just spotting then went into full bleed...

Thanks again for your support ladies

I had implantation bleeding with my last pregnancy.  It was just brown spotting and I used only a pantyliner.  This happened for about three weeks.  Some days, I didn't see anything at all.  I agree.. when you want pregnancy so bad, you take notice to every little detail and symptom from your body and can easily get it confused.  Its happened to me quite a few times after my miscarriage.  Taking a test is always the answer.  Whether it be HPT, or bloodwork.  Good luck.

Hi, I had bleeding and spotting with my first son from 6-15 weeks. Hes now 8.  It is definately possible.  I agree about taking a pg test, I have thought many times I was pg and it was a false alarm. (This pregnancy I had no symptoms at all and I am now 17w5d ) Good luck with your dr appointment.

It's so confusing isn't it. Your body giving conflicting information.  It's hard to judge anything by symptoms.  Sometimes we want something so much, our mind plays tricks on us (this happened to me and many others here more then once).  It could also be so many other things..symptoms just aren't the best indicator.

As for bleeding...it's certainly not uncommon, however typically it's not as heavy as your period. Many blame it on implantation, but actually implantation bleeding is quite uncommon. It is actually not possible to have a period while pregnant, but some women do experience period like bleeding..it's just for other reasons.

There is no real way to get answers without taking a pregnancy test, and doing as your doing which is seeing your Dr.  Good luck to you!
