Progesterone

Does anyone know if its the extra progesterone in our bodies during the luteral phase that causes the emotional stuff and the crying/anxiety?
Thanks,
Lisa

psst...I'm not taking anything and I STILL get very emotional that last week before AF comes..I've been tracking this since my early 20s and the only things that work for me are exercise and healthy clean eatiing (no sweets of white stuff). I've noticed that when I taken care of myself, I'm not on that same seasaw.

Only problem is that I've not been exercising so much this month and I've been eating lots of sweet goodies this month:(

Increase in progesterone is what causes all the emotional stuff.  While taking clomid and prometrium I too have been an emotional wreck!!  My poor DH...lol.

I would have to say yes. I took Clomid and then after I o'd I started on 200mg of Prometrium. It made me feel like a basket case, but it did the trick! Be careful with progesterone I just found out I have a cyst because of it. I am worried that the cyst will cause me to miscarry.

Why can't it be easy??? We need a large amount of progesterone to sustain a pregnancy but yet it can still back fire, this just crazy to me!

Good luck!

Your progesterone does go up during your tww which is why your BBT goes up after O.  I am not sure if progesterone affects you emotionally.  Lots of ladies say that clomid drives their emotions.  Are you taking clomid this cycle?
