Question for those who live near the ocean

I just got back from the Gulf (vacation) and while I was there the "red tide" was in.  I haven't done any reading about it, just heard from the locals what it is. Do any of you know if this could be harmful to the baby? There were many dead fish, and while on the beach everyone would just start coughing (at the time we didn't know why). I got in the ocean one day and swam, the others I just waded.

Other than that it was beautiful, no rain, and lots of relaxing. I am 13w1d and excited about my next u/s on the 18th. I go for my quad/u/s on 11-12, and am a little nervous about that, but things are going well. Feet and ankles are starting to swell a bit.  I think it may have been from not drinking enough water all week, and being on my feel a lot.

You were on my mind this week when I was in Fl.  I was wondering if you were close to testing, and see that you are about 8 or 9 dpo, right?  I have read some about the red tide thing, and see that is mostly airborne, except for eating the fish (which I didn't do).  Just something else to worry about.

I am watching closely, and praying you see two lines soon!!

Usually, if the levels are high enough to cause problems, they post warning signs every where. We don't get it very often, but it did happen here last week.  I think you'll be just fine.

Congrats on 13wks!!!! That is terrific!
