GIRL!! I was so worried about you!! AWW.. That's great, glad you had a great weekend! Yeah I wouldn't mess with the tests either if they aren't going to be of any help. My sister had a healthy beautiful little baby girl last year with nothing at all to worry about going on with the baby. It was my sister they were worried about.... but in the end everything turned out wonderful! All the stress isn't that good on the lil peabody *as I call them* anyways.

I will be so excited for the big ultrasound on the 25th!

Patty - HURRAY for Buckeye babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Yay!  I am so excited for you!  I was wondering what had happened and didn't get online much over the weekend

Hi Sheila!

We had a wonderful ultrasound on Thursday - our doctor didn't have one scheduled but when I explained to her what we wanted to do - she snuck us in for an ultrasound anyways - she got some great pics - she was trying very hard to look between the legs and got a really funny pic - you can very clearly see the little legs - CROSSED - at the ankles - not telling any secrets - she took about ten or twelve pics - she was laughing because she said that normally, she can pick out profiles easily and has a hard time getting pics of arms and legs - apparently this kiddo is very proud of their arms and legs because she got lots of pics of arms and legs and had a hard time with the profile - she got one pic of the arm where you can clear as a bell see both bones in the lower arm, the bone in the upper arm and the finger bones - we picked one pick that kinda shows an outline of the head and the spine and you can see a belly in there as well and put that in the card frame for my parents - I was going to be good and patient (a first for me I know) and wait until Sunday for Grandparent's Day to give it to them - but hubby wanted to give it to them on Friday so we did - they both cried so you know ya did good when you make your parents cry - then Mom proceeded to baby me all weekend - sweet and annoying at the same time - she was constantly worried that I was doing too much and would be tired - I had to explain that I was pregnant, not hooked on life support with a terminal disease and if I got tired - I'd lay down - although she did do the dishes and that was nice - lol

We had our appt with the perinatologist today - what a waste of time that was - I had to meet with their geneticist first to discuss what my odds are of Down's, chromosomal issues, as well as the NKH my nieces were born with - we had met with a geneticist in January when we started this - so they didn't tell me anything I didn't already know and they didn't tell me anything that would make me want to do the amnio today - so I didn't - they are sending me to do the second trimester maternal screening - not as accurate as the first trimester screening - but still non invasive and can at least give us some figures on odds - and we will do our BIG ultrasound with them on Sept 25 - that will be 18 weeks - then if there are any problems with the blood work or the ultrasound we can consider an amnio - so other then missing two hours worth of work, that was kind of a waste of time today - oh well - so now just looking forward to the ultrasound and hopefully finding out that our peanut is healthy and strong - and whether he is a he or a she as you think Sheila - lol - although hubby keeps telling me it isn't a peanut anymore - too big - so he always refers to the baby as "Little One"  Before he leaves for work in the morning - he pats my tummy and says "I love you too Little One - grow strong and healthy!"  No pressure there kid - have a great Wednesday ladies and WAY TO GO PATTY!!!
