SEVERELY DEPRESSED

Gm everyone.  I am 38 currently 8 months pregnant.   For the past two months I have been having issues with my pregnancy that my doctor either ignores or simply doesnt care.  My prior doctor died. This guy is new to me and at this point tooblate in pregnancy to find another.  I have had a severe body it from head to toe that will not cease with itch creams or benadryl. My bile and cholestits levels came back normal yet I dig my nails in my skin cuz the itch is soo bad. I have not changed detergents or soaps.  My contractions have become strong and painful but not enough to trigger active labor.  I can barely walk from pelvic pain  I haven't slept for almost 3 full weeks. Only 2-3 hours daily.  Laying down makes me extremely fatigued.  If I stand for more them 10-15 minutes I cant breath and become extremely lightheaded. No one is doing anything! I was prescribed ursodiol NADA. All I do is cry because the daily pain and itching has taken a toll on me. Has anyone gone thru this? Is there anything I can suggest to this insensitive doctor of mine to check?   Im not diabetic.  No visible rashes either.  please HELP

Talk to your Dr and ask if you can take Benadryl. Mine said it's fine but every Dr and situation are different. Just FYI when my best friend died years ago I had a hard time (to put it very mildly). I developed the worst itch of my life. I was scratching so much I broke blood vessels. I went to the Dr of course and that's where I learned extreme stress caused my issue. I thought the Dr was crazy! I had never heard of that. Pregnancy just on our bodies is soo stressful. Hopefully you can use the benadryl but try yoga and meditation as well. Take a little time and be good to yourself. Having other children often means we neglect ourselves. Best of luck x

I know pain. I have a degenerative spine, chronic sciatica, sacroiliac joint disorder and I carry large babies(10#). I have a medication regimen that i don't dare touch for the durations of my pregnancies.  Do you have a rec center? Floating and walking in a pool can help relieve that joint stress. I have an aunt with a hot tub and have also found that to be helpful- they just lower the temp. for me. Have you had a swab or treated yourself for yeast as far as the vaginal itching goes? My go-to is acetaminophen with diphenhydramine (TylenolPM) when my pain and sleeplessness spikes. I also do daily stretches to help the pain. Finally, it is never to late to change doctors. Hope you find some relief.

Im soo desperate to stop the itching that jus took a shower and slabbed thick lotion for extra dry n sensitive skin n to add moisture I poured coconut butter oil all over. Now I look like a ball of grease n smell like a bar of chocolate. ACK THE STRUGGLE IS REAL DAMMIT.  Im grateful that my baby girl is healthy and is doing great and growing. But in order for u to have a successful delivedy without complications... ur body has to be rested and stress free. I will go thru whatever necessary to bring my child into the world  but this is my 6th n last pregnancy and I have  NEVER endured sooo much pain and discomfort.  Daily and untreated pain will make any human  being go insane.. its torture.   Never said pregnancy is easy  but this suffering here....is depressing. Can't be ignored.  Even my vagina BLEEDS when I wipe from it being swollen and irritated from the scratching...I feel like a crack head!!!  Can u imagine trying to sleep and waking up cuz ur body and vagine are burning from itching soo bad. Every day. For two months???!!!  I thank u all for reaponding.  Hope u all are blessed and ur babies are well amd safe.  Good day

I had severe itching for like two weeks and I was covered in scratch marks all over my legs and chest armpits thighs everywhere, the only place not itchy was my face.. I had tests for two weeks for cholestatis but came back negative I think it's something called puppps or something similar to that have a look online, everytime I got itchy I would have a shower Luke warm and then cover myself in a baby moisturising cream unperfumed and it seemed to ease it a lot xx

You need to see another doctor. I just went in for a minor rash on my tummy today and my midwife insisted on doing a blood test, because it could be very serious. But for me it just turned out to be PUPPS. And she gave me the results within 4 hours after the appointment

Hey hey hey! Chin up darling! Keep your eye on the prize.... That beautiful baby will be here soon! I too and 38 years old and 36+ weeks pregnant. I have been itching badly and go for the liver function test today. I know it is hard but please take some comfort in the fact that your test came back normal and you don't have to worry about cholestasis. :) I have not slept well in months as well, itching and RLS keeps me awake. But sister, this baby is indeed my joy!!! I have been try for this baby for 3 years and will endure whatever pain or discomfort comes during pregnancy for the joy of his precious life!!!! God bless you sweetheart and please please please ... Chin up!!!! ❤️
