Same question for 100th time :)

What is the exact definition of spotting???
If its only a slight faded color on TP when wiping, is it still considered spotting.?

I have had almost no spotting since D&E a week ago - maybe a faded brown when I wipe on TP, almost a dark yellow color and not every time.  Never needed a pad.  Is that even considered spotting?
Today, after some pain on my left side ( near ovary ), I had some very light pink spotting  on TP only, at 11:30 am).  FYI, DH and I did the Bd at 7:00am  - if that had just been irritation of my cervix, would it take 3 hours before  spotting or could it have been Ovulation spotting ( wishful thinking).
Thanks!
Lisa

Hey girl!!  Spotting is any type of really light bleeding when you wipe.  Pam is right, there are lots that get it around o time, it's pretty common.  Keeping fingers and toes crossed!!!

Hey Lisa!  Many women have ovulation and Implantation bleeding...it is definitely not a "fertility rumor".  I had implantation bleeding, and it is light pink/brownish blood, that you can see, and it can last up to 2 days, I got my BFP two days later.  I'm keeping you in my thoughts!!  Pam

Spotting is when you wipe and you see something.  Or if you see a bit of bleeding on your underwear or pantyliner.  But it's bleeding that doesn't require you to wear a tampon or maxipad.

The faded brown wipe may have been old residual blood left over from your D&E.  And yes that's spotting.

And as far as ovulation spotting or implantation bleeding..you'd probably never see that...that's just a speck of blood that you may completely miss.  I think it's one of those infertility rumors that is spread around, personally.   Think about it...the embryo causes it and it's itty bitty, it's not going to cause days of bleeding.  So probably not implantation bleeding.
