There really isn't any way.  Baby needs to come when he/she is ready.  Your so close now, so it shouldnt' be more then a few more weeks, but don't try to do anything to start it.  There is a reason he/she isn't coming, and there is no better incubator in the world than right where he/she is.  I know how you feel...at the end of my pregnancy, I just wanted that baby out, but time will fly by now, and you will miss these days. Enjoy that little life inside of you....take care.

It's nothing scary hon.  It just means basically that the baby has dropped a bit and is in position (which is good!), but that you haven't actually started the labor process yet. Your cervix is still tightly closed and not thinning or anything.   It's not abnormal to feel a bit of pain now as there is lot's of stretching going on, and baby is probably resting very close to your pubic bone.  You may also be experiencing Braxton Hicks, which is basically practice contractions.  Sounds to me like everything is very normal.  Don't worry, if something was wrong, the Dr. would absolutely have told you.  Congratulations, your so close now, and should be meeting your little one soon!!!
