I definitely would not recommend castor oil, it can be dangerous. Just keep being active and he will come when he is ready. I know that answer *****, but it is the truth. I believe the average for first time mom's is 41 weeks before they deliver. Keep doing what you're doing though, maybe it'll help you dilate and efface.

I am not dilated or effaced at all . I have been walking , jogging , doing sqwats , up and down stairs daily and jumping jacks . This was my last resort because I Refuse to take caster oil .

Could be! My son has been head down most of my pregnancy, not sure why he likes it down there so much! Are you dilated or effaced? For me hiking or walking up or downhill gives me contractions, also driving on bumpy roads.

Sex helps soften the cervix because of the semen, but also the exercise and bouncing helps get baby into position. Having more sex won't make a big difference until the baby is ready to come though, same as all other natural induction methods like walking. The baby has to be pretty much ready to come anyway for it to be effective, when you're close anyway is when it should help speed things up.
