baby aspirin

I had two miscarriage before and now I am pregnant again.
I took tests for recurrent pregnancy loss, but I could not get the causes of my miscarriages.
Since then, I have been taking baby aspirin to prevent another miscarriage.
But I have now small brown discharge and lower abdominal pain.( I am almost in 5th week) SInce I heared that aspirin sometimes lead to bleeding dusirng pregnancy, I am wonering whether I should stop taking it or not?

This is very helpful, thanks.
Please keep us updated as to your journey.  According to my new RE, he said that I will need to take baby aspirin and other blood thinners during my next pregnancy, due to my postive Factor V test.

Well I am being monitored closely about every other week right now.  I started taking baby aspirin and progestrone as soon as I found out I was preg at 5wks. This was at my dr suggestion.  He mentioned that in your 30's your progestrone levels can decrease by as much as 50% and progestrone actually sustains your pregnancy initially.  So he said w/the other 2 m/c it would be precautionary measure to help ensure a healthy preg.  And if its NOT needed it does not hurt the baby in anyway.  I did blood work last Wed and everything came back normal.  Im at 8 wks on Mon so I only have to do the progestrone til week 12 and he is going to continue to check my blood so I have another set of tests at wk 9. Im not sure if I will need the blood thinner or not.  I hope this was helpful.

This is good information.  Did you take aspirin before pregnancy or when you found out that you were pregnant?  Does the doctor know about the aspirin therapy and is he monitoring you?  Are you going to switch to a perscription blood thinner in the coming months?

Thanks.

After 2 m/c I was put on progestrone....and baby aspirin.  And this preg is much healthier than the others.

Hi:

I just wanted to see how your pregnancy is doing?  I experienced few miscarriages this year, and was told that I have Factor V.  Are you taking blood thinners?'

Cheers.
