Spent night in L&D lastnight..
Well ladies, I had to go back to L&D lastnight, my blood pressure was 146/122 so they had me stay the night and have me on BP meds and want me to try to keep Brayden in a few more days. The good news is.. I am dilated to 2 80% effaced and in station -1... yay!!!!! They said if I come back there for any more reasons in the next week they are letting me have him! YAY!!! Wish me luck!! .. oh.. just to be on the safe side with my BP I am on strict bed and pelvic rest..ugh.. but anything to make sure I have a healthy baby!!

Gosh, Patty - DS just reminded me that today's National Pot Smoker's Day (I'd like to know how the heck does he know that)!! We can't have our babies today!! I'm having fairly regular contractions for the past three hours about 10-15 minutes apart. The dr however says wait until they're closer together before coming in but I have a feeling they're not going to stay consistent. I think we're staying put until the 22nd which is A-Okay w/me.
I'm sorry you're on bedrest and I wish so bad I could tell you just to relax and enjoy but when you have that nesting thing, forget it!!! I'm thrilled to see that your dh's spoiling you rotten - now he has to continue this after Brayden's born. Can you believe we're almost there??? Maybe it'll be the 22nd for all of us - that would be great!

Thanks Ladies!! No baby yet, but let me tell you, I have a wonderful husband!! He is really spoiling me now! This morning I got a full foot and leg massage!! With warming oil and everything.. YAYYYY!! It felt so wonderful.. better soak it up while it lasts...lol I am staying in bed as much as I can but you know how much it kills me when I see something that I want to do and am not allowed.. grrr... being on bed rest really stinks when all you want to do is nest...ya'll know what I mean? Guess I just have to let some things go until I know I am in the safe zone.
meli- I'm not doing any stress tests now, although they did while I was in the hospital. Everything with Brayden looks great. It's just me that they are really concerned about at this time. I don't really understand it at all. I feel fine overall just get a little in the dumps now and then... guess you really have to look at everything while being pregnant huh!
Jen- I will try my best not to beat you or Vanessa! Or maybe we could have our babies on the same day... lol

Patty - you're not allowed to have Brayden until the 23rd - do you hear me??? Like Brayden's gonna do what I say - LOL!! Hon, I'm so sorry to hear your blood pressure's going wacko. I just want you and Brayden healthy - even if you deliver before me - ha, ha!
Vanessa - Girl, I KNEW I was gonna lose the race!! I had a feeling Patty was gonna steal my thunder - j/k, Patty!! I just want to see Patty get a tiny bit closer to her due date but if her b/p's so high, then well, she needs to get things underway. Patty, I asked dh about Procardia and he says it's a really safe drug for pregnant women & is used a lot more than it used to be.

I take mythadopa for my b/p.. granted I had high b/p before I got pg.. runs in the fam... uncle died at 43 cuz he didn't want to take meds... during this pg it has slowly crept up... it was ike 126/63 at the beginning and now it is about 146/83... they say they wont change meds until the bottom number gets higher than 90... keeping my fingers crossed that it wont get that high... are you doing non stress tests?

WOW, I don't think I ever even got to 2 w/dd and I was induced, ha ha ha..... Don't leave us out in the cold, keep us posted!! So excited for you :)
OMG Patty I can't believe your almost there girl! So excited for you and Brayden.....gets lots of rest and take very much care!!!!
Thanks Ladies! If anything else happens, I promise to keep you all informed when I can! Not sure if we have wireless internet at the hospital but if we do I will have DH bring his laptop so I can give you better love coverage...lol
Meli- I had no idea my BP was so high, I had a headache and my ankles and hands are swelling a bit and it hurt right under my rib cage at times.. and then checked my BP and it was that high. They gave me a new med *procardia* that they just started giving for preterm labor. It doesn't have the effects as Brethine but it also doesn't stop the contractions as fast. But with me having had those bad effects a couple weeks ago they rendered me allergic and decided to try this new drug. I like it but it makes my BP go too far down so I am on a timed released dose. We'll see!!
