I just took a clearblue digital hpt. The little urine sign was blinking after I held the stick in it and nothing is showing up after the sign stopped blinking. Did I do something wrong? I don't have the paphlet that came with it. A friend of mine gave it to me. Could it just be defective?

Aww, I'm sorry.  I hear you about the pity party, that's sort of my middle name these days!  And you know what, its ok to feel that way sometimes.  We will be joining that BFP party soon!!  Hang in there.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your thoughts. I took the hpt this morning and got a BFN!!!! This is so discouraging. With all my symptoms I was sure I got lucky this time. I guess it's just not meant to be. I shouldn't be complaining, I was able to have 3 beautiful children. I just really wanted to have one more! Sorry, I'm having a pity party...I'll get over it eventually. Have a great day ladies and baby dust to all of you that haven't given up!

Thanks ladies, I have an Answer one at home. I will try that with first morning urine tomorrow. Let's hope so, I don't know how many more disappointments I can take. I can't go on fertility pills because back in  98 I had an arterial clot in my foot and now they won't consider giving me anything related to hormones at all. I can afford to have another child, I just can't afford to go through other fertility methods to get one. It's all in God's hands now so could you all pray for me!!?? I'll keep you posted.

Yup...defective. You'll have to get another one. But just some advice...the digitals (especially clear blue) need a higher hch level to show positive than some others. I was positive for three days with First Response Early Result before the Clear Blue digital came out positive. Also, even the non-digital clear blues sometimes give false positives. Stick with the pink-dye tests! Good luck - let us know how it goes!

defective, or it got oversoaked with too much urine.  you'll need to throw it out and use another test.
