I found out that I have it too! I'll be 37 weeks on Thursday and I was stressing out until I found this post. Thanks ladies!
Thx ladies! I'm feeling calmer about it!
Very common! group B strep is a common bacteria we can carry (approx 25% of the population). You will be given IV antibiotics when you go into labor and you and baby should be fine. The danger is in not knowing you are colonized and not being treated before birth.
I had with my 1st baby. just got antibiotics thru an iv and baby was fine. didn't have it with my 2nd or 3rd babies but they still gave me the antibiotics for it.I wouldn't stress too much lover it. it's very common.
It's common I had it with both of my kids. You will just get a iv of antibiotics before you give birth.
