Strep b positive

I'm 37 weeks, 43 yrs old, pregnant with my 4th. I plan to be induced at 39 wks and 1 day bc of AMA. Other than not enjoying being pregnant its been a healthy normal pregnancy. Until I found out that I tested positive for strep B. I have always tested negative. So now I'm totally stressed  about this. I would appreciate any insight.

Very common! group B strep is a common bacteria we can carry (approx 25% of the population). You will be given IV antibiotics when you go into labor and you and baby should be fine. The danger is in not knowing you are colonized and not being treated before birth.

It's common I had it with both of my kids. You will just get a iv of antibiotics before you give birth.
