Stress test

It was " suggested " that I have a stress test. It's not mandatory so I'm wondering if I should have one done at all. Has anyone had a stress test? If so what did the results reveal?

Don't know your medical issues but your age is an indication for twice weekly antenatal testing.

I am 28 wks an my ob told me in a mo or so I will have 2stress tests weekly an one will have an ultrasound.  Plus I go to a children's hospital mo for ultrasound. Its just precautionary since we fall in a high risk category.  The stress test just monitors the baby's heart rate.

Yes I have had non stress tests or an NSTs the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy. I had them weekly because of a kidney issue in my child.  They just had to make sure everything was progressing right. Why does your Dr want one?
