Stressing, please help if you can

My husband is going to take 2 weeks paid family leave starting the day of my csection. How does that work if anyone has done it? How long does it take to get a check? If my csection is on May 29th when can I file and when will we get a check? I am really stressed because we have so many bills to pay. I don't want to lose our place or our cars, or have our power turned off. Please help if you have knowledge or experience. I am afraid I might come home after "T" incision Csection (where the both you both ways) and have to take care of baby and myself. I also have multiple sclerosis.

If he's taking paid family leave he should have to apply in advance because the date is previously known. Call the human resources director over his division/district and ask all the questions you are concerned about or having him do that would be the best option. That is one reason why human resources is there.

Yes you have the right to paternity leave but its usually unpaid. Very few companies pay for it. Most use vacation time.

Isn't he getting paid from his job wouldn't it be just like getting a pay check. My baby daddy gets two weeks paid paternity leave and he'll get paid same days he always does.
