bloody stool tmi

Ok so my problem has been going on for a month now (sorry a little tmi) I first started noticing mucous on my stool when I had a bowl movement I haven't been staining or anything but haven't had regular movements.  Then I started noticing more mucous and less stool. Then it started getting blood in it.  Now it's pretty much just blood and mucous mainly blood and bloody looking clots. I have had no energy this last month and every once in a while my stomach feels nauseous.  I'm 35 weeks I've told my dr at my last two apts she doesn't seem concerned but she's never checked me.  Says it's probably just hemorrhoids and constipation.   But it's like it keeps getting worse I've exercised ( swats, standing pushups and walking this entire pregnancy) I drink water all the time and try to eat good. And I've even started taking some stool softeners. It's just freaking me out its bright red blood with dark clots in it. And seems like it keeps getting worse.  Earlier I was using the bathroom and passed gas and looked in the toilet  and there was blood.  Anyone else experience this or have an answer for me Should I be freaking out? ??

You may want to consult with a GI doc.  This sounds exactly like a condition I've been dealing with for over thirteen years that isn't related to pregnancy called ulcerative colitis.  It is very similar to Crohn's disease.  Both are manageable with proper diagnosis and medication.  I know I wasted many trips in the er when I was initially sick because there is really nothing they can do there.  Hope this helps.

If ur seeing blood clots and mucus... u may wanna go to the er.. if the doc isnt concerned that might be her call but it does sound scary. Since ur so close to delivering u shouldnt risk any infection.

I have been batteling constipation,  hemhorroids, anal fissures and bleeding this whole pregnancy and I told my doc.. she didnt seem concerned either.. and told me to live it out.. I didnt trust her so I went to the er when the bleeding got really bad.. told me bed rest, diet changes aka more fiber and water, stool softeners etc... they also showed me techniques on how I could deal with hemhorroids. So it was a trip worth taking.. I suggest u go..
Just for the peace of mind

I had really bad hemmeroids and fizzers (its what the doc called them) when I was pregnant with my son and every time I had a bowl movement I would bleed. Bright red blood with no clots. I had issues with this well after birth but I did not have anything like what you are describing. I would definitely get a second opinion. Take care I hope everything is ok. Thinking of you!!
