Strong H?B detected yesterday 6wks2days, Brown discharge last night worried sick

Hi Guys,

I am a total wreck this morning, I had a scan yesterday and they detected a strong herat beat and said the baby was the right size for day 4 days earlier than expected but said all good. Later that night I ahd some not bad back ache and BROWN discharge gutted!!. I had a missed MC last December and the exact same thing happened brown discharge and when I went for a emergency scan no heart beat. I am wondering if to just wait it out or go for  private san today which is very expensive as the Dr's is shut today and no sonogrophers work at th hospital saturdays. I am so scared I am going to miscarry again. I havent slept in week as it is and now feel totally ill with worry. I kinda think what will another scan do I cant stop a miscarriage if it going to happen. I'ts still very  very lightly stained this morning and I ahve moderate lower back pain and boy I feel sick. Any ideas anyone. This whole pregnancy thing is getting me down, if I miscarry again I can't got hrough this ever again , how these ladies have many miscarriages and find the strength to keep trying I don't know. I have had enough of feeling so low. I felyt such relief and excitment yesterday and within hour my world has change again.

I second Kelly's comments.  And even if you didn't have transvaginal ultrasound, that cervix is so easily irritated right now.  If you had sex it could happen along with a host of other reasons.  I spotted and bled throughout my entire pregnancy. Scary, but he was fine.  It is super common and doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. Give your Dr. a call on monday if it continues, but honestly, you have a strong heartbeat so I would bet all is just fine!!

You asked about how those of us with multiple miscarriages keep going.  I have had 6 in total now.  Pregnancy is a scary idea for me to be sure, but there is no other way to get to my goal.  So I just take it one step at a time.  I also have a great support system, both in real life and here...and I do use it.  I lean on others when I don't feel strong enough to take care of myself.  Not sure that made sense, but it's the best way I can think of to describe it.  Take care, and remember...every day you are pregnant is a victory!!  Celebrate that heartbeat..it's a huge milestone.

NO, don't get upset. I'm sure you had a vaginal u/s right? Your cervix is very sensitive and was probably irritated and bled a little OR it was left over blood just coming out. You just saw a healthy strong hb!  Try to relax and monitor yourself, Im sure all is well.
