? for those with older kids

Is it me or is it much harder to be pregnant at this age? I was 22, 24 and 27 when I had my other kids and I felt pretty good with those pregnancies. I will be 36 when this one is born and I feel like somebody beat me up every single day! I know every pregnancy is different, but this one is really rough.

I had mine in my 20s and now am almost 40- but the majority of my pregnancies were hard ones/ preterm labor- bed reast- awful meds- so this one was going awesome- feeling great- but had a scare of preterm labor- hospitalization- but no changes to my cervix- just the positive feta necta protien (sp??).

So now I am taking it pretty easy- so am not feeling the AGE thing---

I also had two of my kids 16 mos apart- and had thyroid issues- sereve- afetr birth- and so that was rough

LOL. You all are hilarious. I thought I must be in really bad shape. I don't know how you ladies who are older than me do it. There is no amount of money that could convince me to do this again.

Hi, I had my first 3 in my twenties and my fourth when I was 33.  I did find that I was far more tired with no. 4 but then I was running round after three others, lol.  However, I definitely enjoyed baby no. 4 as I had more patience and was less stressed.  I'm trying for no. 5 right now and I'll be 41 this year - I question my own sanity, lol.

Hi.
I know how you feel.
We aren't spring chicks anymore.LOL
I had my first at 19,second at 23, then my third at 30.
Now I'm nearly 45 and due the beginning of September.
I'm so tired,my body aches and I find it hard to keep my eyes open after 9pm at night.
But all worth it.
Also it's great when my darling partner runs around doing all the housework so I can put my feet up.
We are enjoying this pregnancy as it's my partners first baby.
Good luck to you and put your feet up too.

I currently have 3 children. Had my at 20, 23 and 35 and trying for a 4th.  My younger pregnancies were way easier than my last one.  But I was so happy and it was well worth it. That is why we are going to do it again.  Hang in there. It will soon be over and you will be cuddling your baby.

I had my first at 17, my second at 20, and my third shortly after 21.  This one will be born when I am 38. My oldest will be 21 three months after the baby is born and is being deployed to Afghanistan next Dec.  The second just turned 18 and is going to bootcamp in the Airforce a month after the baby and my third will be 17 the month before the birth. I do find that I am having alot more joint and mobility problems with this one and that I am alot more emotional. It seems that I was farther along with the first three when I started being this uncomfortable and unable to find a good sleeping position.  Everyone says we are crazy to be starting over, but this is DH's first and I think he deserves all the joys and ups and downs of raising a child of his own.

I had my first at 21, my second at 31 and my third I had just turned 41. Physically, the one at 21 was by far the easiest. Overall, I think I enjoyed the second the most - love being pregnant, but got tired. And I had so much more patience than with the first. The third, I enjoyed the baby the most...I miss him very, very much. But physically the pregnancy was hell.

I've been thinking the same thing!  I had my first two at 29 and 33, so it doesn't seem like there would be that much of a difference....but it kicks my butt sometimes!  =)  I'm lovin' every minute of it though!
