Pregnant Tummies!

ladies, I am 13 wks and feeling very bloated. The last 2 weeks I have literally had to use a rubberband around my jean button to kkep them closed. I know weight is a sensitive subject, but I would really like to know how early is too early to show. i haven't been pregnant in 9 years (almost 10). I know every pregnancy is different. I just thought it might be interesting and fun to know what the tummies are looking like.

Thanks. I think I will invest in the maternity band. I have to wear profess. clothes to work. I'm a pretty small person. But my stomach feels like I have drunk a keg of beer on my own. I'm not worried about the stomach, just can't believe my pants don't fit around the waist. My DH thinks it's cute. I think he is getting bloated to. Which is not cute. But I would never say that. SSHHH!!! I have not spilled the beans to my workplace yet. Not sure what I'm waiting on, but just haven't. Seems like there is so many women pregnant there, I think I don't want to freak out my boss. Plus she knows I was out on leave in Aug-Sept due to a m/c. With my stomach peeking her head out more each day, wonder how long it will take for someone to notice. Maybe they will just think I'm gaining weight.

I actually started to show at 6 weeks.  I know that is highly unusual, but I had a tummy at that point already. It certainly wasn't maternity clothes, but I went up a size. I don't think there is  a right or wrong here...we are all different and it's all just fine.  Enjoy the curves and I wish you a healthy uneventful pregnancy!!!!

I am 14 weeks and I look preggo from the side if I am wearing a fitted shirt but from the front I just look fat! I had Baby Angel Cooper in June, so I feel like everything is moving faster for me this time around. I can still button my regular pants but man by the end of the day I am soooooo ready to take them off.

I have not gained any weight yet either (knock on wood) but man I still feel fat. With Cooper I lost 8lbs in the first trimester and only manged to gain 22lbs my entire pregnancy and believe me he was not small he was 8lb 3oz, so I feel like I am going to have the biggest baby on earth with this one!!!

I say this is the best time ever to be squishy and not worry about it!!!!

Congrats and show off that belly!

With my first two kids I didn't show until about five months...in fact, I lost about 15 pounds the first four months with both. This time, I still haven't gained any weight, but I've been looking pregnant for about a month now. I'm 16 weeks, and I look about like I did at six months with my other kids. Like you, I haven't been pregnant for 9 years (all of my pregnancies are 9.5 years apart...lol). I'm guessing it's because of my age, I'm not in as a good a shape, and it's my third.

I am 12 weeks now and I feel like a cow. I don't know that I am "showing" or just looking fat.  My waist line has expanded and i cant wear pants that have a button (any of my regular pants)  I've been wearing yoga pants, sweats, and jammie bottoms.   I did pick up a pair of maternity khaki cargo capri pants at a yard sale and like them a lot.  There not the kind with the maternity panel, but the kind with an adjustable waist! LOL!  Fortunately I work from home so work clothes aren't an issue....thank goodness!!!

And besides pregnant tummy...i've have issues in the brassiere dept!   Mind feels like it's strangling me!! i know it's so time for a new and bigger one!!

CONGRATS!!!!   I have followed your postings for some time now. I am so happy for you and DH.

It has been eight years since I gave birth to my last child but I also used the rubber band method at three months with both children...after that...I had to quickly transition to maternity clothes  :)

I didn't start to show with my first pregnancy until the end of my 5th month.  I'm now 16wks 4days with second pregnancy, and I am just starting to show.  I did feel very bloated with this pregnancy too, more symptoms of nauseau, fatigue, moodiness, HUGE/sore boobs!!...It is very common to show sooner with second, third, pregnancies.  The bloatedness you're seeing now is not the baby.  It is your uterus expanding...I never did the rubberband trick, I probably should have with my 1st pregnancy, it would have saved me lots of $$$ on maternity pants : )

YAY!! Congrats on the pregnancy! I remember you having difficulty as well.

With my pregnancy I swore early on that I had gained and arm and a leg, but it was just bloating..lol Now with my first pregnancy 19 years ago, it took forever for me to show, I was tiny then, and used the rubber band method (lol) until I was like 7 months pregnant..lol Very different story with Brayden.

Again, congrats!

Very early on I didn't look pg, but looked bloated and like I had a big beer gut.  I don't think I actually started looked pg till about 3 or 4 months.  I used one of those belly bands.  You leave your pants undone and put the band of material around your pants to hold them shut.  It gives you the layered look.

congrats, looks like everything is coming along so well :)

P.s and thanks for reminding me of how your started.  I went back and read your old posts and it has really given me comfort over the last week.
