pregnancy symptom???

I have been experiencing jittery (like you feel from caffeine) when I eat certain foods. I only drink decaf coffee, herbal teas (no caffeine) & soda with no caffeine. But when I eat something with alot of sugar, chocolate or decaf coffee I feel jittery. Yesterday, I ate a chocolate pudding cup (which I can eat 2 at a time) & began to feel jittery. I can't think about drinking a cup of decaf because the affects are worse. I have never felt this way eating these foods. A friend told me this is one of the symptoms of pregnancy. Has anyone ever felt this way while pregnant? Thank you for your input.

Thanks for your reply. I never heard of it myself. Even though my friend told me she heard of this as a pregnancy symptom, I did my own research & found this is a symptom. The only time I feel this way is after I eat & not before like some of the people mentioned on the website. People who feel this way before eating is because they don't have enough sugar & need to get some sugar. They generally feel better after they get some sugar in their body or they eat. But like previously mentioned, I feel that way after I eat. The website stated it's because of the hormones in pregnant women.

Well, in all honesty I have never heard of this as a pregnancy symptom.  I do however get the same way with sugar and found out a few years ago I tend to have high blood sugar.  I actually might consider having a blood test.

This certainly does not mean that you are not pregnant though, and I hope you are!!  Good luck.
