We were supposed to go home today :-(

So as the title states Joey and I were supposed to be discharged today. It is not going to happen. She has Lost 12% of her weight and also has jaundice. If she does not lose anymore from now till tomorrow morning then they will send us home. Keep your fingers crossed that she stays the same or gains some weight.

The jaundice is not bad enough for treatment. The weight loss I think is because she i s lazy. She is perfectly content to sleep away the day

Is the jaundice causing the weight loss?

Yes she was born at 36 weeks exactly.  We have a pretty good plan of action. Offer breast every 2 hours if she does not latch and start eating after 5 min then remove her pump and give it to her then give formula to equal 30 ml. She has gained .01 oz so far. Also only giving her formula or pumped milk with after little medicine cup so no nipple confusion.
