What are those guidelines around HCG levels?

Hello ladies,
Well I had my beta today (14DPO) and nurse confirmed that I am indeed pregnant:)  My level was 110.  I didn't know what that meant and she said it was a solid number.  I'm supposed to go back in a few days for another blood test.

I apologize, but I admit - never having had my hcg levels measured before - that I am clueless about hcg levels. Do you think 110 is good?  Is it more important to look at the number doubling, then the actual number itself?  (And how long is it supposed to double?)

What about twinning...do you know if there are any guidelines or ranges around possible twins?

Thank you!

Thank you to both of you:)

The chart is great, I'm going to cut and paste to keep on eye on it.  The nurse didn't even tell me the numbers at first, I had to call back to ask her:)

Oh I searched all over to find this post congrats.  Yes 110 is a good number.  They say that in early pregnancy they love to see the first set of numbers over 100 and love to see it double every 2-3 days.  This is from American Pregnancy Association website.

4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml

7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml

110 is a great number!!! And you're right, the most important thing in early pregnancy is that the number doubles every 2-3 days.

Congrats!
