Prior to trying to conceive it would be best to have a very frank discussion with your Dr - as Christine said, preferrably a specialist.  Pregnancy after ablation does have some success stories, but unfortunately they are rare and the majority of the time the outcome is not a positive one.  I do not know all the complications, but I do know that one common one is implantation outside the womb.  It can be dangerous for both fetus and mother.  This is why Dr.'s do not do ablation unless a women is certain she is finished bearing children.  That being said, I have read success stories, so do see a specialist.  I am not trying to frighten you or discourage you, just trying to be honest.

Whatever you decide, I do wish you well.

I also had a uterine ablation in 2006. I did get pregnant in 2010. do to scare tissue and incompetent cervix i delivered my angel baby on jan 24th 2011 @22wks. her lungs were extremly premature and we lost her. I went back to my Doctor for my follow up visit and she told me i was the only patient she has had to become pregnant after a uterine ablation. Luckily for me the group is a pretty big group with all specialist in it. I explained to her that we wanted to try again and she scheduled me with 2 of her partners. 1 a  fertility specialist and the other a perinatologist. I had a HSG done to see what condition my uterus was in and it showed i had scar tissue but the ablation didnt completly destroy my lining. in april i had the scar tissue removed and was put was put on estrogen and had a balloon in my uterus to help the healing for 5 days. in may i had another HSG to see if my uterus had any recurring scar tissue and test results showed none. he fells like we will be able to carry another baby with the close supervision of the 3 Doctors. if or when i become pregnant i will have to have a cerclage around 16 wks. and will have to be closely watched. i will have to probably be seen at least every 2-3wks. with freq. U/S done to ensure everything is going ok. I will say that prior to pregnancy i did not have a period for 4 yrs. now i have had a period every month except may. and have been ovulating on my own. so you need to have a HSG done to check your uterus Good luck and if you have any question feel free to ask.

As the others said, you need to see a doctor. You should have been told that an ablation is only meant to be done if you're not intending to have anymore children.

Some complications are bleeding while pregnant, incompetent cervix, preterm labour, miscarriage, uterine rupture, and death in both mother and child.

I've heard of women having children after ablation but it is pretty uncommon. The main reason being that unless the endometrial lining has rebuilt itself, there is nowhere for the fertilized embryo to implant.

I wish you the very best. You may want to see a fertility specialist to discover what your options are. As I said, it happens :)
