Working out while feeling queezy...

How did you ladies achieve this? Sadly, I didn't manage to lose some weight before getting pregnant so now I am an overweight pregnant lady with a BMI of 27.5 (165 cm height and 75 kilos). I'm trying hard not to gain much weight so I've increased the fruits & vegetables in my diet. However....I also wanted to keep fit by exercising. I can't cause I feel nauseous all the time, especially in the evenings. I've literally spent the last 3 days going from bed to couch. Can't stand it!

Walking and light weight-training is all I can tolerate right now. Everything else makes me nauseaus! I miss my running and kickboxing. But I suppose I'll get back at it in about 5 months!

I started off with a bmi of 26 & gained 8 pounds in the first trimester.  I was constantly hungry & come to find out my thyroid was really low (doesn't hello the weight gain). Just stayed the 2nd trimester & hoping I can gain a little less to even out the early weight gain. I try to workout 4 days a week & I started using a pedometer on my phone for a reminder to keep myself moving.  I gained about 55 pounds with child #1 & only 26 with child #2. I don't want to repeat #1. Maybe you can try doing some exercise in the morning if that is when you feel the best or a little here & there.  10 minutes a few times a day is still better than nothing at all.

I completely understand. I am a plus size woman and had lost about 12 pounds before getting pregnant. I was doing a cycling class that I loved but had to quit b/c of the nausea. But the other mommy is right walking is the best. You can also swim, that works for me as well. They are both also very relaxing.

Try sea bands. They helped me a little but then I had to get a prescription from my Dr. Walking is probably going to be the only excerise you will be able to stand until the day sickness let up. I feel your pain. Been there. I wish you the best.
