abbreviations

Hi, even though I'm not trying anymore, I still enjoy reading all the posts. BUT I feel like it is some secret society and I don't belong. What on earth do all these abbreviations mean? Is there a memo I didn't get???

AUNT FLOW!!!! I haven't heard that since I was 16 years old when my great aunt used to be "delicate" with her wording. I figured it was an abbreviation for some fancy medical term

Here are a few more:
HPT- Home Pregnancy Test
BFP- Big Fat Positive (Positive HPT)
BFN- Big Fat Negative (Negative HPT)
AF- Aunt Flow (your period)

Well, I can't think of anymore right now! : (  Please do not be shy to ask us to explain something.  It took me forever to get all the lingo down! By the way, MH (MedHelp) is an awesome place to be! Have fun reading!!!!!

Lol, It took me forever to get all the abbreviations.  If you check out the MedHelp Health pages they are there.  But any you want to know specifically, just shoot me or one of the others a note.  That's what I used to do, and everyone was happy to explain.  DH - darling husband, DS or DD - darling son/daughter.  DPO - days past ovulation, OPK - Ovulation Predictor Kit.  There are a few...ask anytime if you want the translation for others.  Amanda
