Questions (abbreviations and slang)

Does anyone else find it difficult to read questions due to spelling abbreviations and slang (above and beyond just misspelling or auto correct). I am pregnant with my 3rd child and went through 2 miscarriages prior to this. I want to help and answer questions when I can but I find it extremely difficult to in some cases (more so in some of the other forms but I run into it here as well). And if I have this problem I am sure others do. So I caution posters, please, if you want your questions answered by as many people as possible try to avoid using this slang or odd abbreviations. We want to help but at some points it's impossible to. Maybe I am just old lol

What's worse is when you read more information that you wanted to know.

It's even more annoying if you're not from America. :)  It took me a while just to figure it out for 'idk' and 'ftm' ;)

I agree! It's also annoying to me reading the posts that spell everything with the first letter uppercase "Like This For Example", Why Do People Do This!

It's pretty annoying. I don't care for a bunch of slang or all the abbreviations some people use. There's nothing wrong with communicating intelligently. It's as bad as the guys who sag their pants or wear shirts 4 sizes too big, bleh.

Yes, it's very annoying. The younger genetations type the way the text. I find myself rereading a lot of posts. I try to double check mine before I post it.

Well I am glad I'm not the only one. I Definitely want to help people but can't sometimes haha. I try not to get annoyed or judge people over something so silly but if it is an important enough question to ask then it should be important enough to have others understand :)

It's really not that hard to write the full word and not leave letters out. Especially in this day and age when you're phone does it all for you.

I would agree. I hate the text abbreviations. I even make my teenage children write out words when they text me.

"Ye i feel DA same" only joking. Its annoyingly annoying. I just skip most of the silly ones. If a post is important write it correctly x

Your not old. You can just communicate how you feel correctly lol.  I can't stand then either.  Some are so bad I don't even know what their question is.
