preeclampsia

I'm 36 weeks +2 days, had high blood pressure and trace amounts of protein in urine today at the doc. Was told if its the same next Tues then they are going to go ahead and take the baby! Has anyone else been diagnosed with preeclampsia? I had it with my first born 17 yrs ago and had a really difficult time giving birth and almost died. They let me go two wks past my due date with her though before inducing me. I've never went early and am nervous but trying not to be stressed out. I'm actually 36 now and this is my fourth baby! Oh and I've also been diagnosed with gestational diabetes this time.

That's great that your doctor was able to early detect it; & preparing the baby to be ready; steroid shots are a breeze; I get those now - (for partial placenta previa) just in case if my placenta detaches my lil one will be ready.I wish you the best of luck

With your eyes irritating you; becoming watery n itching; do u wear glasses or contacts; I too esperience the same issue with this pregnancy; in reference to having eclamspia comes the blurred vision almost like double vision with white spots; if you ever feel like that - lay on your left side while someone takes your blood pressure- thats a sign before a stroke or ceasure

Bed rest is dreadful after a while;; however even with delivering between 32 & 36 weeks great survival rate; might have to stay at the hospital few extra days just in case if that does happen to ensure his lungs are developed & working fine; definitely take it easy & relax (easier said then done I know) well worth it though don't want your body fighting against n causing any harm to you nor baby.

Honestly doesn't sound like eclampsia symptoms- leg cramps are common when pregnant- try eating bananas & drinking more water - for the pain in ribs might just be sensitive due to body changing n baby moving how far along are you?

I had full eclamsia started as pre of course; my son was an emergency c section at 27 weeks; a great little fighter; now a healthy 8 year old - my advice is to closely watch symptoms- blurred vision - swelling up - chest pains; I didn't mention any of these of what I was experiencing to my doctor at the time - ended up having two ceasures back to back ; definitely monitor any changes alerting your doctor; can be contained with blood pressure medicine til you have your little one.
