bloated ?

I'm 42 and 18 w.  Most every time I eat after about 20 min I feel a bloating sensation.   Almost like gut rot. My stomach gets hard and looks bigger and I'm very uncomfortable.   Any one else get this?

I take bromelain, an enzyme found in pineapple and papya, when I eat. It helps aid in digestion and its safe. Since taking it, I don't bloat anymore.

Your body and your baby are now competing for space and your baby is going to win this one. The ever shrinking space for your stomach can cause extra pressure and discomfort after you eat. Gas and bloating are also worse during pregnancy. Try to avoid carbonated drinks and try not to eat too fast, because you will swallow more air, increasing the gas and bloating. Check with your doctor first, but you should be able to take simethicone for the gas and Zantac for indigestion/heartburn, but as I said, verify that your doctor is okay with you taking those, most docs are.
Hope this helps

Congrats on your pregnancy. Am not going thru  what you are going thru. I have a burping problem and its so embarrassing when in public. Comes whether it likes irrespective of eating or not.  Am sure your bane is the bloating. Hope it disappears soon so that you can enjoy your baby moving.
