Ok, with bp, the top number is the amt of pressure for your heart to send out the blood, bottom number is the amt of pressure needed to return it to the heart. If u already had high bp before pregnancy, you are probably ok with a 140/60s to 90. If you didn't, I would continue to monitor a few times a day. Blood pressure in pregnancy does fluxuate. If the higher numbers stay consistent, talk to your doctor about them. But also educate yourself on symptoms of pre eclampsia.
And when i say swelling i mean really bad swelling like balloons
If you have swelling anywhere, a headach that isnt going away no matter what you do, seeing things like spots or anything out of the ordinary along with that then yes definatly be worried. I would still call in and see what they want you to do.
Mines typically 110/70. I got admitted at 170/140 and my dr said it was the bottom number that was most concerning. I would probably keep an eye on it and follow up any significant changes.
I am high risk for high blood pressure because I get high blood pressure on birth control with estrogen even though with out the birth control I am close to 110/65 average. My doctor told me when I check at home if I get to 140/90 to call them asap
That is borderline high, so I wouldn't be worried. It's not high enough yet to be too concerned, though if it is still high at your next appointment I would point it out.
