can labor be painless?

I read on Google that some women just feel menstrual cramps but when they're checked they are dilated to an 8 or something crazy like that! These BH I keep having are taking my breath away but don't feel  no true pain with them, just discomfort... Anyone going through this?

Im doing fine!..i went to hospital...stayed for 4 hours. Were having congractions..the entire time..5 mins to 12 minutes apart...and i still am...just not dilating.. They let me go...at 10:00...and told me to relax......take it easy for next couple of days..

Yes it is totally possible, I don't have painful contractions. I'm one I those lucky women. I feel the tightening and get uncomfortableness but not much pain if any at all. Also some lucky women have rare deliveries which can cause an orgasm to happen instead of pain. So you never know what you'll get.

Yes labour can be painless. My first two labours were painful and 2nd actually worse than my 1st. But my 3rd was a dream. I honestly had no pains at all. And only went into hospital because my stomach was tighening like bracton hicks every 2-3 minutes. Of course the head crowning still burnt like crazy. I have just found out I am expecting baby 4.. hoping for a painless labour this time around too

Possible but labor is the most painful event in a woman life, with my first daughter i was in labor 21 hours and had beyond back contractions til i begged for an epidural, with my 2nd daughter i thought i was having braxton hicks and was just uncomfortable but i was in full blown labor and really didnt recognize it til my contractions were 1 to 2 minutes apart and went to the hospital they told me i was at 9cm broke my water and made me push so with that i was in labor 9 hours and didnt really know it so its possible

I feel you kimmeee...im right with u..and hannah...this is my 3rd....baby...so im well aware of the pain.  My first two pregnancies  were different.   ..as far as pain...so  you never  know....anything is possible.  ..we might  get lucky..:). And ...i think she is meaning as  far as Experiencing the pain....(braxton hicks)...and taking it lightly...cause it is not  so bad....(but actually being true labor).

Labor is usually thr most painful experience of your life so dont get your hopes up lol. I have had a baby before and its excruciating pain. I dont see how some women can't know. I believe your just experiencing braxton hicks which can cause dilation but I doubt your in full blown labor.
