communities by age

I laughed so hard reading the comments on the post below. First of all people are so upset that they were in the wrong forum and had no idea it was divided by age as opposed to stage of pregnancy. I guess since the first forum starts at 18, everyone early on in their pregnancy should be evicted from the sit?!? LOL. Next, so many people said they would rather talk to people at the same stage of prenancy rather than their age. As a 38 y.o mother of 6, I would rather talk about balancing high school children & an infant, or about genetic testing & amniocentesis as opposed to your baby's daddy or what you should name it.

There are no rules that people of any age can post on any forum, which is fine with me, but I do appreciate the thought behind separating the communities by age.  I'm 35 ad expecting my first.  I always knew I wanted kids and career, I just didn't know that by waiting until 33 to start trying that I'd almost miss my chance!  I went through infertility and ended up getting pregnant by IVF.  To me it is valuable to be able to read about and chat with women who have the perspective on issues that comes with age.

I couldn't agree more!! I, for one, am extremely happy it's divided by age. I need ladies I can talk to about things that go on for those of us called "advanced maternal age"........
