contractions??

I'm 39 weeks and 1 centimeter dilated but not sure what contractions feel like, I've felt like I've had cramps like I have really bad gas but not sure if that's contractions or not...

Contractions feel like bad period pains. You feel them in your lower stomach and can go all the way around to your back. I've been having irregular ones since yesterday. But not in active labor yet BC theyre not constant 5 mins or less apart.

I go to the doc Monday, so hopefully I've dilated more! thanks for yalls input(:

I'm due the 8th as well and am having the same thing. This makes #2 for me. I had the same thing with my first but I was told it wasn't labor. I was induced with my son, so I'm not sure either
