could i be pregnant?

hello i had sex january 1, 2010 and had last period in december (period ended i think in middle of december) anyhow ive been feeln sad and breast tenderness and vagina itch, also a little spotting. could i be pregnant i dont ever have these symptoms when i get my period so im worried. i just feel like somethings different. help. thank you christina

thankyou i really hope im not pregnant but something is not right i have this weird feeling and maybe it is just stress but you are right i need to take a pregnancy test

Hi there.  The only way to know for certain is to take a home pregnancy test.  Anytime you have unprotected sex you can get pregnant, and if your last period was middle of December and you had sex early January, the timing is about right (depending on length of your cycles.).  You would be about due for a period now wouldn't you?  If that is the case, then a home pregnancy test used with first morning urine should give you a fairly accurate answer.  You can also see your Dr. for blood work.  That is the absolute most accurate way to determine a pregnancy.  Good luck to you.
