hi, i'm 37 and have two quite large cysts on left and right ovary and i am 9 weeks pregnant. they discovered cysts when they they did a pelvic ultra sound but that was also the week i conceived which i did not know at the time. i was on my third cycle of clomid and was about to quit it as i cant not stand the side effects. fingers crossed with this pregnancy as i have had five miscarriages in the past.
dont worry about cysts they will monitor them but they cannot affect pregnancy.

I have had small ovarian cysts, but in my case they have always just gone away on their own. As far as I know, most do not impact fertility, but I am curious as to what your Dr. thought? I know there are times when they are removed. Good luck to you.
Hello! I found this website on ovarian cysts, I hope you find it helpful...although I couldn't find any specific info on how/if ovarian cysts can hinder the ability to become pregnant. From my own experience, my first pregnancy detected a cyst on my left ovary. My OB said this was the ovary my egg attached too. Later in my pregnancy the cyst disappeared, this is very common. Six months ago I went for my annual pap smear, I also had an ultrasound done because I was TTC and I wanted to see if there were fibroids, scar tissue, etc. My OB at the time called me back and said that I had a cyst on each ovary. He said, no cause for alarm, we will check it again in 3-4 mos. Well, yesterday I went to my new OB and was confirmed my pregnancy at 7 weeks. While the vaginal ultrasound was performed I asked the technician if she saw any cysts, and she said no. So, from what I've heard and experienced, they can come and go, shrink or swell at anytime...if benign and are not painful or causing you discomfort, or getting bigger, I think they are nothing to worry about. But, I would definitely speak to your doctor about it. Good luck! Pam
