diabetic and pregnant

Hello so I'm 23 weeks and the docs have told me I need to be on insulin 4 times daily :(.. So my question is has anyone who is or had insulin have had mood swings with double the crying and emotional mood swings, I'm on my 7th baby and I've just started the insulin and I feel so horrible.

How your body processes and digests food changes when you are pregnant.  A pregnancy will actually cause your body to block or reject the insulin that you are producing,  so no matter how healthy you are eating, your sugars could still be running high. And high sugars can certainly affect your baby's growth (organs and size). If tour doctors are putting you on insulin, I am sure they have good reason and I would follow what they say.

I take it 5 times a day (3 for fast acting, 2 for long) and it hasn't affected my moods at all. Are u monitoring ur sugar regularly?  Maybe it is still out of whack and they need to adjust things for u.

I take insulin 5 times a day and it hasnt changed my moods.  Talk with your doctors about how well you are controlling your glucose readings.  If theyre under control perhaps they can give you lower dosages now. It's a definite that as you get further along they will have to up yr dosages even more than right now. Try to hang in there
