dialating and active labor....

Is it possible to start dialating at 35 and half weeks and go into natural active labor? Ive had more and more contractions everyday for the last three to four days now and im curious to know if that means i could go into active labor very soon?

You will know if your water breaks I could not tell the difference with my first pregnancy. I have severe period cramps so my real contractions and Braxton hicks all felt the same.

Ok thats what i thought... no my doc hasnt checked me for dialation. I will be 36 weeks on tuesday n i have my 36 week appt on wednesday. Im assuming they will check then. But im nervous tonight that ive had more than 6 contractions in an hour. But then it could be just braxton hicks.
