endometrial ablation and pregnancy

I was sterilised 8 years ago after my second child. two years ago i had endometrial ablation as my periods were very heavy and painful. i am now in a very happy relationship and feel strongly about having another child. if I had my sterilisation reversed, is it posible to get pregnant again? I am only 38. thank you

I don't know a lot about ablation, but everything I have heard says it is very very dangerous to get pregnant. As 40smama said, you should consult with a specialist.  I wish you luck.

After discussing ablation w/my doctor, he said it was HIGHLY recommended not to get pregnant after one - it's dangerous for the mother and baby.  About the tubal - you could get a reversal or do IVF - I believe it's the ablation that's going to be the problem.  The best thing to do is to consult your doctor or fertility specialist (re).

I am a little lacking in knowledge on this procedure, but I I think it would make you sterile. Having said that I Believe I saw a post on this or the fertility forum from a  woman who had an endometrial ablation as well and just found out she was pregnant - so it may be possible.
Good luck!!
