epidural or natural???

I'd like to know who is planning a natural delivery and who is,planning on getting an epidural? If you're going natural what birthing techniques will you use. I'm wanting to go the natural way, but terrified of the pain. I've been trying to research ideas and  suggestions to help with the pain, one I'd like to do is labor in a rub as long as possible. Any other suggestions?

If I get to have this baby vaginally (and I probably will have to get a Csection) I'll probably try to go natural. I had an epidural with my first and it worked perfectly and made birth so relaxed and stress free. My second baby my spine got nicked by the epidural needle which caused me to have to stay in the hospital longer and resulted in a spinal headache (the worst most unrelenting head ache you could ever imagine) and finally a blood patch. With my third my epidural didn't even work one little bit and when they tried to give me a second one it didn't work either but caused the left side of my body to swell really bad and made puke. So I think the odds are against me when it comes to epidurals but when they do work they're wonderful.

I'm only three months and I know it could change but id like to try a water birth. I heard its more relaxing and you don't tear as much. I have a six year old son and he was delivered cesarean, not an emergency or anything. Anyway, they gave me an epidural and i ended up getting horrible migraines a couple days after he was born that lasted a week. I went back to the hospital to get a blood patch and luckily it worked. I really want to go natural but I'm nervous as to what the pain will feel like! But good luck and do whatever you feel comfortable doing!

Hiya i had an epidural with my first and all it did was make me very tired which ended up making the labor alot harder because i was exhausted. For my two boys i had gas and air, and pethadin (i think that is how it is spelled lol) but this time with my 3rd i am wanting to just use the gas and air as it is the only pain releif that does not pass through to the baby. try not to make a concrete plan as you never no how things will go once you are in labor,  some women have  higher pain threshold than others, good luck and i hope it goes well xx
