I have not tried them, but a medhelp friend of mine (on the 18-34 forum) did and she swears they did the trick.  I am 40 and trying to conceive.  I love ovulation predictor kits.  If you are going to use them, make sure you follow the instructions very carefully and read the literature on how to read them properly.  Many of the ladies here also track their cycles (MedHelp has an ovulation tracker) to help them pick their most fertile time.  Have a complete checkup, then get on a prenatal vitamen now.  Take really good care of yourself, and my personal opinion is to avoid alcohol and caffeine starting 4 or 5 days prior to ovulation (it doesn't hurt anything, but it can dehydrate you, making it more difficult to conceive).  I, and a few others here, also use a product called pre seed.  Good luck to you!!
