terrified going to have another m/c

About 4 weeks pregnant. Just confirmed last week with my physician. Have had cramps similar to menstrual cramps for over a week now. Occasionally they are lower. Freaking out because last night I woke several times due to severe cramps. No bleeding. I was told I am high risk because I will deliver when I am 35. Oh, and this will be my first child. Anyone have these symptoms to this extreme and not have a m/c???? *praying yes*

Also forgot to mention an ovarian cyst, fibroids can also cause severe pain too.  I hate that drs always jump to the worst and scare you to death!  Maybe seek another opinion.  Good luck hope all works out.

We checked for uti and that came back negative. Which leaves possible scary stuff. Wish the Dr. Would agree that age is but a number.

Age alone doesn't make you high risk.  I was 37 when I had baby number three.  As far as cramping, some cramping is normal, severe cramping is not but that doesn't always mean m/c.  Sometimes a uti or dehydration can make cramping quite severe.  That is why drinking at least 10 glasses of water daily is very important.  If the severe cramping is just a one time incident I wouldn't worry but continuing severe cramping would warrant a trip to the dr to rule out infection, ectopic pregnancy, or m/c.  It is a good sign that you are not bleeding.  I understand your anxiety.  I had 2 m/cs prior to my first baby.  Try not to stress I know that's hard and see your dr for advice/reassurance.  Good luck.
