genetic testing

hi all! Iam losing it.Iam 36 had my genetic testing done and it has been one worry after another.First my numbers decreased for the chances of down synd.from 1 in 177 women to now 1 in 93,so my doctor suggested a amnio?wich iam scheduled for next week.I got my blood work results and iam a carrier for "sandhoff disease" wich is a milder case of "tay-sacks" so now they want my husband to be tested.UGH!! it has been such a journey for us to even conceieve and it has been one scare after another?Cant we just be pregnant and left be?Iam just nervous and looking to see if anyone has gone thru this kind of scare?

Well I actually tested BEFORE we got pregnant at the suggestion of a few friends.  And it helped me out tremendously to know what if anything may pose an issue.  I understand your point.....its like geez we are finally pregnant now let me enjoy it!!! Im sorry for your current stress. But a member on here told me to ENJOY my pregnancy before its over....and Im trying to do just that.  And honestly so far the experience has been really great.  Say a prayer for peace to take away the stress of pregnancy.  And feel free to vent online with the ladies on here....we will support you!

We are going through testing right now.  I can certainly relate to the stress.
Hang in there!  1 in 93 is considered high risk but it's still just 1% probability.
Good luck to you!!
