grandma dies

well, my grandma who raised me died yesterday of cancer... she was 91 years old and we knew she only had a few weeks to live but it's still sad

i hope my unborn baby doesn't feel the "stress" and sadness that I'm feeling these days...

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my father less than a month b/4 my daughter was born...other than my blood pressure being a little elevated, I was fine...just heartbroken.
Take care hun.

thanks for your kind words everyone! I really appreciate it. It's over now and life goes on. I'm just glad that I got to see her with my son 5 days before she passed. Here's a link for a picture I took on that day

Isabella,
I'm so sorry you lost your beloved Grandmother. May the God of all comfort give you His peace. My Dad recently had to have his stomach removed from cancer.

I am so sorry for your lose:( My grandparents rasied me as well and I just lost my grandfather July 3, 2007. Its still sad to think about, he was my father:) Just remember that just because she is gone that she isnt still alive in you, pass her memories on to her great grandchildren. And find a way to keep her memory alive. You could plant a tree or something to honor her.

I know how you feel. I lost my grandparents when I was young so I didn't get to share with them what you got to share with yours. My mom has lung cancer and I know that what is to come is inevitable and it doesn't lessen the pain. Your grandma is now able to watch you closer now. She'll see to it that you and your baby are ok. Think of all the love she gave you that you will pass on to your own child and all the stories you can tell him/her about their great grandma.  I will keep you in my prayers!!

I am truly sorry to hear about you loss... I was also raised by my great-grandparents, and I can relate to the hurt you are feeling.  My mother was just too young to understand how to raise a child.  So my great grandparent's stepped in, and raised me like their own, and oh how much love that was!

It is always hard to lose a love one especially those who are dear to your heart... cherish the moments you and your grandmom shared,  and know that one day you will see her again.  You are in my prayers, and don't worry the baby will be just fine your Angels are protecting her:-)

God, heal this broken heart like only you can in Jesus name I pray Amen

Love Yolanda

I am sorry to hear about your loss.
My grandmother raised me as well.  She was like my mother and father combined.  I still miss her and dream about her 23 years later.
Most people dont understand that your loss is as great and as real as if you lost your own Mother, but I do, and you have my deepest sympathy.
Your baby will be fine.  Your Grandmother will see to that.
