2nd u/s 7 and a half weeks

I'm so confused...had a 2nd u/s today at 7 and a half weeks..still just gestational sac and nothing else. Prepared ourselves for a mis but than they called and said that hormone levels are really good...progesterone 53 and HCG 47,000, so now we are back for another u/s in one week. Any advice or similar experiences would really help us to come to terms with this. We were already mourning this loss and now it seems there is a glimmer of hope again. I

In some cases h/b does not show till 8 weeks.  I hope you get some good news next week.

Did they do a vaginal ultrasound? I had an abdominal u/s at 7wk 3 days, they couldn't see much, so did an internal one, and bam! Bub was there clear as day, flickering heartbeat was seen. Unless your dates are out, bub should be visible by now. Hope all turns out well for you:)

Dont have advice as such, but the hcg sounds so positive, good luck, and keep us posted..
