Congrats on the twins!! I hate that you are feeling so badly. I do think that you are probably experiencing normal symptoms with a twin pg, but I'm no doctor either. I lost one of my twins around 8wks, and before that, I felt badly too. I would wake up feeling fine but then around lunch, I would feel like a limp noodle. I had dizzy spells, nausea but no vomitting, and I was extremely exhausted. I absolutely had to have a nap every day and it wasn't just a 30min to an hour nap, it was at least 2 hours. I didn't have headaches until the first part of my second trimester, and they lasted for about a month. My doc said that it was hormones and that when they leveled off, the headaches would go away and they did. I hope that this next month passes quickly for you and that you have a better time when you get out of the first trimester. I didn't start enjoying my pregnancy until the second trimester and I think it goes that way for a lot of women. Take care and good luck!
2 of my sisters have twins and the PG's were very different. The one who was sick said eating small amounts almost all day long helped. Hopefully this will pass soonand you can enjoy your PG...ooh yeah congrats on the twins. good luck
I had my tubal reversal in March and got pregnant right away but lost it in May.. we're excited that at the last US it showed the sac in the uterus!!! No tubal.. YAY!! Would be great having twins but I doubt it, I only saw one sac! And my hcg levels are high but not that high! Had them checked today at 5 weeks 2 days and they are 23425.00. Not high enough for twins I don't think.
Keep me posted on your symptoms!! And good luck!
Your right. I am lucky to know now b/c i had to find a new ob and everything. my old one only delivered at a very small hospital (level 1 nicu) which is fine for single babies but not for multiples. That in and of itself was quite the ordeal this week. It's such a pain to try to pick a dr off a list and then hope your insurance accepts him and that once you meet him your going to feel comfortable sharing private body parts and information for the next several months...lol. I have 3 kiddos (17 ds, 11ds and almost 4yr old dd). this is my husbands first or first two in my case but my daughter is basically his. i had been divorced for several years and had an oops w/ a guy i was dating for a short while and knew he was not the one. he's involved in my daughter's life on a limited basis but my husband really wants to adopt her. he's daddy to her. i swore off men after that experience and had my tubes tied. and then of course met the love of my life right after she was born. i never imagined someone so wonderful would want me w/ 3 kids but he does and wanted more! Is he crazy or what? I loved all my other pregnancies too but this one has not been pleasant at all so far! Let's hope it's not a sign of what's to come in the next 18 yrs...ha. Luckily i get to stay home b/c i couldn't imagine trying to work in this condition.
Who knows maybe you will get a surprise at your next u/s too!
Oh.. and you are lucky to know that you are having twins this early in the game, my friend didn't find out til she was 20 weeks with a routine US!! They asked her if the doctor was checking on multiple births and she said "not that I am aware of" the tech said well looky here, there are two in there!!
LOL.. well let me tell you, I have 2 other children (this is hubby's first) and I told him I ABSOLUTELY HATE being pregnant this time around where-as I LOVED being pregnant for my other two years ago. They are DD 17 and DS 10. Not sure what is the difference but man I just feel crappy ALL the time too!! I would think I was having twins if they din't find just one sac!! Could another one be hiding in there somewhere??
Hopefully it gets better for you!!
Patty
Thanks for the input. I assumed that most of it was just the fact that there are two in there, but it does give me hope that maybe the second trimester will be easier. I see my ob for the first time on Oct 8th so maybe he will have some insight. It's such an exciting time it's just a shame i can't enjoy it more and that my poor family is suffering. although my husband may finally recognize just how much i do! lol!
My friend had a set of twins, when she was pregnant she felt like the life was being sucked out of her! She had no ambition to do anything AT ALL until her 2nd trimester, when things began to regulate in her body. I just think it's all the hormones raging through your body!! Hopefully it will ease up a bit in the 2nd trimester!
first, congrats on yr twin pg!I hope you have an...easier and healthy 9 months! I just want to say that all that sounds quite normal to me,given that you have 2 fetuses in there trying to grow-yr body still trying to adjust, but of course i'm no dr,hope you soon feel better and good luck!
